Learning at Namunyak

Strong Foundations for Every Stage

Our learning programme supports children as they build confidence, communication, literacy, numeracy and positive learning habits during their early years of education.

How Children Learn at Namunyak

We believe young children learn best when lessons are structured, engaging and connected to their stage of development.

Learning Through Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum

Namunyak Comprehensive School follows Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), providing age-appropriate learning experiences for children in PP1, PP2, Grade 1 and Grade 2.

Our approach combines classroom learning with practical activities, creativity, play and continuous assessment to help children develop essential knowledge, skills, values and confidence.

We aim to nurture each learner's potential while building a strong foundation for continued education.

Active Learning

Children learn through guided activities, practice, conversation, play and participation.

Individual Attention

Teachers follow each learner’s progress and provide support where it is needed.

Strong Foundations

We emphasise literacy, numeracy, communication and the skills children need for future learning.

Growing the Whole Child

Alongside academic learning, we support confidence, discipline, communication, creativity, cooperation and responsibility. These qualities help children take part, express themselves and learn with others.

Working With Parents and Guardians

Parents and guardians bring knowledge of their child that helps teachers understand their learning needs.

Conversations with teachers are an opportunity to share those strengths and needs, ask questions and discuss progress together.
